In case of damage on the road
Motorbikes are the most popular means of transport in Nepal among locals. Therefore plenty of workshops are spread around the big cities and on the busy roads. Your bike pieces will be repaired and/or replaced on the spot for a few Euros. One needs not to worry or panic especially in big cities. For instance, a hole in the bike tube can be fixed for a Euro and replacing it for a new one will not exceed the five Euros. Chain repair, engine oil, brake-shoes and other similar services including replacing spare parts will range from 5 to 15 Euros (paid in NRS).
On the other hand, getting your motorbike damaged on the highways canbea little complicated. It all depends on which highway you're on and what time of the day you get your problem. The highways linking Kathmandu to Pokhara and Chitwan have many workshops along the road.Every other village has its own workshops so that also should be mentioned. If you're on the road away from a repair shop you should not worry either. Many trucks will be passing at all times of the day. They will be more than happy to pick you up and your bike (if possible) to the first repair shop on the way for some money in return.
If the motorbike is damaged you will obviously have to fix it yourself before bringing it back to the rental shop or pay to get it repaired. If the bike is lost or completely damaged you will be required to repay its value in cash, an amount that should not exceed 2000 Euros (2600 Dollars). It will be useful to check with your own travel insurance more about this before embarking on your journey, in case accidents occur.
NOTE: For Royal Enfields it will be very difficult to find spare parts outside Kathmandu and Pokhara.
