What do I need?

Renting a bike may be one of the easiest tasks to accomplish while in Nepal, it is fast and less demanding compared to other countries. For starters you will need a driving license. Although as a tourist it doesn't happen often that you will get stopped in police checks, but if it happens it will be handy to have one.Officially you are required to have a motorbike license, but a car one will also do. You can use your local license, it does not have to be international to be functional in Nepal. Personal insurance is not mandatory. To pick up a bike you either have to submit a copy of your passport, the passport itself or leave some deposit money.

If you're looking into long drives in the country it is preferred to have a prior driving experience (motorbike, scooter). If you're just giving it a try we will provide you with teaching sessions and supervise you on short drives around the periphery of the Kathmandu Valley. Once you get the hang of it you can decide to go on your own but there is always the option to jump on the back of the bike of our experienced driver who will take you to the destinations of your choice.
