Chobhar

Chobhar is a village just outside Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. It is known for the nearby Chobhar Gorge where the Chobhar caves can be found. Adinath Lokeshwar temple, sacred temple to both Buddhists and Hindus is located in this village. It  was originally built in the 15th century, and then rebuilt in 1640.

For bikers: Chobhar is close to Kathmandu which makes it easier to combine it with either city tours or the Dakshinkali/Pharping tour. The ride uphill to Chobhar is special in its ability to provide a great position that enables one to look over the Kathmandu Valley.
