Infrustructure
The infrastructure of Nepal does not develop accordingly with the population growth and expansion of its cities. This also includes the capital, Kathmandu as well. Continuous poor road construction leaves the city polluted and its road under a constant state of disorder. It happens that the only nicely paved area is the ring road that circulates around the city. A vast majority of the inner roads connecting neighborhoods lacks any black topping and are full of potholes. This results quite often in chaos, traffic jams and frustrations. It should also be known that some areas will be inaccessible for short periods of times during the monsoon season because of landslides that block certain roads.
The highways are all good for cruising as they have no major damages. The East-West highway is the only highway that does not go through hills or contain sharp corners. It runs straight for hundreds of Kilometersthrough the plains of Nepal.Conversely, all the other highways go uphill and downhill and have corners that can be more or less sharp at times. This is precisely the reason why a 200cc motorbike is a decent ride. The roads are not made for any vehicle to go faster than 85 Km/ph. This is also the reason why a 200 Kilometer distance takes a 4 hours journey. If you're driving in Nepal cruising should come before your love for speed as it insures both safety and pleasure.
